“Complexity is a very opinionated word. Many people perceive
complexity in different forms, and while there is no commonality
within what we find difficult as humans, there is ironically a
common word to describe it. Although some people find video
recorders incredibly complicated and rely on the oft used technique
of just sticking a tape in and leaving it on, many find this
programming of the video a walk in the park. To me, in my entirely
uneducated ramble of nonsense, this variation is pretty
obvious.

“Although I cite that Bob may be able to do something and Jane
can’t, it does seem that people always strive to find rules and
theories in which we can describe what we do and don’t understand
to form methods of being as efficient as possible. This theory is
then usually written into guidelines that are passed to people who
make video recorders to ensure that they work as easily as
possible. The problem we have though is that Bob may never
understand the video recorder, and for that matter, never want to
understand it…”
