Internet Week: New Linux Kernel Released

"The Linux 2.2.0-pre9 kernel, made available last week, is actually the 2.2.0-final release, according to Linus Torvalds, the lead developer of the open-source operating system. The new kernel offers more stable support for Intel hardware platforms and supports a wider variety of file systems."
