"The Linux craze that reached a fever pitch with Red Hat's (RHAT: news, msgs) IPO earlier this month has again become a hot topic on the message boards. Shares of Applix (APLX: news, msgs) soared as high as 24 11/16 on Monday before settling back to a close of 18 5/8, up 13 percent. Momentum has been building for the small software developer since Wall Street began to pay close attention to Applix's Linux business last week. As the stock's two-day tear continued, the boards were buzzing."
