"Linux creator Linus Torvalds accused the DVD industry of trying to "screw their customers over" by fighting the DVD's integration with the open-source operating system."

"In a keynote at LinuxWorld here, Torvalds complained about lawsuits of DVD consortiums against unnamed developers who sought to port DVD technology to Linux."

"This is a case of companies that want to screw their customers over," said Torvalds, in response to an attendee during a question-and-answer session portion of his speech. "What will happen? The DVD consortiums will lose in court, and we'll have DVD on Linux."
