PRNewswire: SCO's Tarantella Express Leaves the Station Right on Time

Feb 29, 2000, 22:05 (0 Talkback[s])

"SCO (Nasdaq: SCOC) today announced the immediate availability of its Tarantella Express web-enabling software for SCO OpenServer Release 5. Customers can download Tarantella Express from http://tarantella.sco.com/dl-files/register-exp.html or place orders through SCO's worldwide channel of over 15,000 resellers, distributors, systems integrators, and computer manufacturers."

"Tarantella Express brings the power and functionality of SCO's proven, enterprise-class Tarantella web-enabling software to SCO's channel partners. Designed for smaller, less-complex installations -- up to 45 concurrent users -- Tarantella Express brings true server-based network computing to workgroups and departmental environments. Resellers are reveling in the arrival of Tarantella Express, which has seen explosive demand since its announcement last month."

"Tarantella Express pricing starts at $745 for 5 concurrent users accessing both Windows and UNIX System applications, additional users can be added for approximately $99 per user. Tarantella Express for the UnixWare 7 operating system is due in April 2000. Additional versions are planned for other popular server operating systems, including leading Linux platforms."
