"We have long acknowledged the power of the Open Source movement and we had no difficulty in accepting the idea of an Open Source OS (Linux), an Open Source Web Server (Apache) or an Open Source C Compiler (GNU). It was easy to conceive of developers collaborating successfully on such products. Similarly, it is not stretching the imagine much to conceive of an Open Source Database, like MySQL, because this too is a technical collaboration. But what about application packages and particularly what about Customer Relationship Management (CRM), one of the areas of the software industry which is currently growing at an explosive rate? We would have thought this unlikely."

The OpenSourceCRM project intends to build a complete, robust, and easy-to-use suite of Customer Relationship Management applications that are free of charge and completely compliant with the Open Source definition. Indeed it also aims to create "the finest, most comprehensive suite of CRM tools available" according to the marketing propaganda on the web site...."
