"BioWare was kind enough to talk to us about their efforts with porting their games to Linux. BioWare is an Electronic Entertainment company based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. BioWare has developed Shattered Steel, Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, and is developing Baldur's Gate II, MDK2, and Neverwinter Nights. BioWare's principals are Dr. Greg Zeschuk and Dr. Ray Muzyka. Originally family physicians, both Greg and Ray now devote the majority of their time to BioWare."

"As a long time RPG fan I was thrilled to find that you are porting NeverWinterNights to Linux. When reading an interview with BG 2 producer Ben Smestad linked from your site I got the impression that Baldur's Gate 2 is also comming to Linux is this correct?
This hasn?t been sorted out yet. It is certainly within the realm of possibility but there has been no formal announcement at this time. We would announce this together with our publisher, Black Isle/Interplay if it did occur at some point in the future."

"How difficult do you think it is to port to Linux? Any specific things you miss?
It?s not bad. Some of the variable driver support is a bit of a challenge, but overall it?s a worthwhile endeavor."
