"Integrated Software & Devices Corporation (ISDCorp), a
leader in embedded Linux, today announced that ISDCorp has joined
the MIPS® Alliance Program. The agreement calls for ISDCorp to
provide Royal Linux® to MIPS32TM and other MIPS
architecture processors. In addition, ISDCorp will offer systems
integration services, software drivers and Linux support for MIPS
TechnologiesTM customers and licensees."
"Having recently announced the production availability of Royal
Linux and the successful port of Linux 2.2.1, ISDCorp is working to
ensure that any systems manufacturer using RISC processors can now
take advantage of the footprint and speed of Royal Linux for their
devices, at a cost considerably lower than that of other embedded
operating systems. "This agreement with ISDCorp will be providing
an embedded Linux solution for MIPS Technologies customers and
licensees faced with market demand for shortened design schedules
and reduced costs," stated Brian Knowles, vice president of
marketing for MIPS Technologies, Inc."
