"I came. I saw. I conquered."

"Well, I tried to conquer. It is certainly easier said than done in Freeciv (http://www.freeciv.org/) , the game in the spotlight this month. Styled after the very popular Civilization game, Freeciv places you in control of a band of settlers and challenges you to build, learn, and expand, growing from this small group to the civilization that dominates the world."

"...All this combined makes Freeciv a fun and challenging game. Let's not forget time consuming as well. Turns are short at the beginning, but as your civilization expands across the world and you have more to keep track of, you're going to find things just take longer to be done properly. I would encourage you not to become involved in a game if you are heading to bed in twenty minutes. Sure, you can save it, but you'll want to finish building that unit first... and take over that city.. and... you get the idea."
