"It's been two years since the first release of Sierra's Tribes. Coincidently, Loki Games introduced its first port, Civilization: Call To Power, during that same period. Did both companies have any idea that they would cross paths two years later to assist each other in the development of yet another, outstanding gaming port for Linux enthusiasts everywhere? This time around, with what looks like a new "call to power" in Tribes history, Dynamix (a subsidiary of Sierra) and Loki join forces in what could be the multiplayer game of the year.

Before I even had a chance to pick up a version of Tribes 2 for Linux, I had a pretty good idea that this release would not only bring the awesome graphics and cool gameplay that I had witnessed in the beta stage of Tribes 2, but it would do so, in Linux, with minimal installation time and hassle. Would this be the Linux port to finally disappoint me? Or was there something more sinister lurking on the CD?"
