"RedHat announced the release of RedHat Linux 8.0, dubbed 'Psyche,' on September 30. I was lucky enough to get a copy by mid-October. The original release ships in a box containing eight CD-ROMs, a printed installation guide and a quick reference guide.

"The Professional version (grey box, $149.95) includes an additional DVD containing all data on one disk, while the Personal version (red box, $39.95) comes without the DVD. Unlike the Personal version, Professional offers a choice of different setup types, including Personal Desktop, Workstation, Server, Custom, and Upgrade setup types. Only the first three CD-ROMs are needed for installation; the other disks contain source code and documentation.
