== PostgreSQL Weekly News - Jan 7th 2003 ==

This week saw development picking up the pace a bit, with a lot of progress
was made on IPv6 support this week. In fact the focus has turned from
implementation more toward compatibility and needed features. Those who have
experience with IPv6 are encouraged to get involved.

Also on the horizon is Point In Time Recovery. A patch now exists that can be
run against CVS Head, so if testing on it goes well we should have this
feature crossed off the 7.4 TODO list soon.

And finally, on the "we make a killer database, now you want a killer website
too?" department, the www.postgresql.org website has gotten a face lift of
sorts. It's merely the first step in a plan to help reorganize the PostgreSQL
web presence to make it easier on everyone to get acquainted with the worlds most
advanced open source database. :-)
