The long-awaited and much-anticipated release of XFree86 version 4.3.0 has just been announced.

The sixth release in the 4.* series of X Window includes many new graphics card driver enhancements, automatic mouse protocol detection (PS2), run-time root window resizing, support for alpha-blended and animated cursors, and boasts an improved font server.

It is recommended that the following three documents be reviewed:

A list of mirrors containing the new release is also available.
