"The Australian UNIX and Open Systems User Group will hold its
annual national conference in Sydney from September 3 to 5, AUUG
treasurer Gordon Hubbard said today.
"The conference caters to UNIX, Linux, BSD and open source end
users, corporations, government agencies, developers and vendors
and will address a range of topics including open source in
government, IP and licensing, security, authentication, middleware
(MySQL, Apache and Samba) plus Linux and BSD coding.
"The three-day conference programme will preceded by a three-day
tutorial programme which allows attendees to work closely with
technical experts to develop specific skills in development, kernel
debugging, databases, data security, wireless, system performance,
web services and other Internet technologies on platforms that
include Linux, BSD, Solaris and Mac OS X..."
