"The founder and president of the Greater Hartford GNU/Linux
Users Group (GHGLUG), a group of people that like to use Linux and
other open source projects either for work or fun, today proposed
the establishment of an Open Source Fund.
"Speaking at the EDGE 2004 Conference & Expo in Boston,
Michael Trosen floated the idea in font of a panel of Linux
experts, and received some very encouraging replies.
"'Every day I get a bunch of projects where we're being asked to
fund,' said Sam Greenblatt, SVP & Chief Architect of Computer
Associates' Linux Technology Group, 'and we do.' This could be an
extension of that, he implied..."
