SD Times: JBoss Goes Corporate For Credibility

"A US$10 million infusion of investment capital last month will help JBoss Group LLC become JBoss Inc., a 'next-generation open-source company' that seeks to grow its community of developers while it releases products it can profit from, according to founder and chief executive officer Marc Fleury.

"In an exclusive interview with SD Times, Fleury said the round of funding, led by former SilverStream founder David Skok's Matrix Ventures, will enable JBoss to make financial offers to programmers within the community. Skok has been named to the board of directors, and Bob Bickel, former general manager of Hewlett-Packard's middleware division, has been brought in as vice president of strategy and corporate development..."
