Glade-- 2.5.0

since the gnome software map seems inaccessible I try to get this out by hand.

Most important is the fix for working configure.in with autoconf 2.5x

Application

Glade-- 2.5.0

Description

Glade-- aka glademm is the backend to generate static (no runtime dependancy on the glade file) Gtkmm (C++) code from a glade (UI definition) file.

Enhancements

  • initial gtkmm 2.4 work (still under construction)
  • support CAN_DEFAULT/HAS_DEFAULT (Howdy Pierce)
  • some error checking for embedded images
  • try to determine automake/autoconf postfix for newer autoconf setups
  • default to all widgets visible if all are private !!! (beginners' #1 error) and tell the users about this in the headers (which they tend to read before any documentation ...)

Bugfixes

  • fixed nasty autoconf bug (missing closing bracket on autoconf2.50+)
  • gnome1 fixes for button (stock_pixmap)

Application

GNOME War Pad 0.2.13

Description

A 'VGA Planets' client for the GNOME platform. VGA Planets is a turn-based space strategy game that can be played by 11 players at once. This game is being played since Fidonet times, and have lots of fans that still play on those old DOS clients, it's time for a GNU/Linux one :-)

Enhancements

  • Ship visualization UI completed.
  • RPM .spec file added - RPM package generation working.
  • Debian control files added - DEB package generation working.
  • Planets with starbase have a special mark on starchart.
  • Unpack now generates korex.dat file.

Fixes

  • Character conversion from CP437 (DOS) to UTF-8 for object names.
  • Program crashed when clicking "play" button on empty game manager.
  • KOREx.DAT now checks for uppercase & lowercase file names.
  • Compilation flags removed from Makefile that disabled deprecated features, now GWP can be compiled against GTK+ 2.4.0.
