"Lets start by introducing this couple. Free and Open Source
Software (FOSS) is software that gives the user very unique
freedoms. The user is entitled to use the software/program in any
way he/she wishes, freedom to probe the software and customise for
user needs, freedom to redistribute the program to benefit others
and finally the freedom to improve the program and release freely
the improved version so that everyone can benefit. Civil Society on
the other hand can be described as those who have taken the liberty
and initiative to act as the watch dog for the public so that their
freedoms and rights are not abused. So much in common they seem to
have... this couple..."
