Acucorp has developed technology that allows firms to give their
Cobol applications a new lease of life by transferring them to
64-bit Linux environments.
The company said that its AcucCobol-GT development system for
64-bit SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 on IBM eServer zSeries
servers will allow companies to port enterprise Cobol code to all
IBM eServers running Linux, including 32- and 64-bit Linux on Power
as well as 32- and 64-bit Linux on zSeries.
