"Yesterday, Eugenia, editor-in-chief of OSNews.com, published an
editorial that angered the open-source software community. Even
though I believe Eugenia can manage on her own just fine, I do want
to support the editorial, with the use of some elaborations and
clarifications.
"The trigger for Eugenia to write the article was a discussion
she had on the desktop-devel list of Gnome.org. I'll sum this
discussion up, after making one important statement: I am a Gnome
user myself. My Linux box runs Gnome 2.10, and as soon as my
UltraSPARC machine gets a memory upgrade, I'll have it run Gnome
too. Am I a happy Gnome user? For the most part, yes,
definitely..."
