"One outcome of the cooperation between OpenSync and KDE developers agreed upon this summer is that the OpenSync Framework will soon replace the mechanisms to date for synchronizing PIM data between KDE and mobile devices such as mobile phones and PDAs. To achieve this OpenSync will be integrated in KDE in such a fashion that its synchronization mechanisms will be available to all applications via a KIO module. With KitchenSync, to be had via KDE's Subversion System, a first application that makes use of OpenSync already exists.
