"Well, it appears to be 1992 all over again. Andy Tannenbaum is once again advocating microkernels, and Linus Torvalds is once again saying what an ignorant fool Andy is. It probably won't surprise you much that I got a bunch of emails asking for my thoughts on the exchange. I should probably keep my mouth shut, but here they are. Linus, as usual, is strong on opinons and short on facts.
