At Least 8% Hypocrisy: The GPLv3 Jumpers
Aug 4, 2007, 20 :00 UTC (12 Talkback[s]) (8823 reads)

"SJVN jubilates: GPLv3 picks up traction. Consulting gpl3.palamida.com, a site who monitors the conversions to GPLv3 and LGPLv3, he notes: "out of the 3,205 projects licensed under GPLv2 or later, about 8 percent of them have moved to the GPLv3."

"As I am writing this, gpl3.palamida.com lists 291 conversions to GPLv2, and 3297 projects under GPLv2 or Later. I assume 291/(291+3297)*100 still means about 8%.

"How come that various people are getting so fond of GPLv3, while usually people fail to agree on delicate issues (pro-life vs. pro-choice; social policies; more guns vs. more gun control; etc.)...?"
