"First off, what is INGOTS?

"The acronym stands for International Grades with Open Technologies. INGOTs are qualifications. They are accredited by the UK government regulators and appear in the National Database of Accredited Qualifications (NDAQ) but with names like Level 1 certificate in Open ICT Systems and Office Applications. Currently there are qualifications in ICT and Business and Enterprise and we plan to extend this to arts, environment, computer science and other subjects with links to the work place..."
