FSF Confirms Xming Restrictions Not Allowed

"The Free Software Foundation has confirmed that Xming developer, Colin Harrison, has overreached his limits by attempting to impose additional restrictions beyond the requirements of the GNU GPL and LGPL.

"According to Brett Smith, Licensing Compliance Engineer for the Free Software Foundation, developers may request that users contact them prior to redistribution, but they cannot require users to obtain further permission beyond what has already been granted by the GPLv2..."
