"The presentations that were selected are quite diverse. Some don't seem KDE-specific (such as Jeff Mitchell's presentation about why companies should hire open source programmers, and Zack Rusin's talk about graphics acceleration), while others focus on KDE and associated applications in a variety of settings (Sebastian Kugler will discuss Plasma on small formfactor devices, Orville Bennett will present on KDE and Macs, and Guillermo Antonio Amaral Bastidas will talk about KDE and business applications). The diversity in the chosen topics certainly wasn't unintentional, but it's encouraging to see this variety in the event's first year."
