Pinguy OS:A Ubuntu-Fork

Jul 13, 2010, 16:08 (2 Talkback[s])

[ Thanks to dave for this link. ]

"This is a OS I have been working on since Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 2. I thought it's about time I released it and get some criticism on it.

"There isn't any 32-bit version as most people should have a 64-bit processors as they have been around for for a few years now. The main reason for going with 64-bit is because it's faster then 32-bit on the same hardware and there aren't many programs now that don't run on 64-bit. Ubuntu maybe easy to use but not all of the programs for it are, so all I did was listen to what people wanted and found the most user friendly programs for the task.

"Like Shotwell's really easy for uploading images to facebook and gtkpod is great for putting music, photos and video on a ipod/iphone and you can use mvPod to covert the video."
