"Everyone at some point gets frustrated with technology and the services that govern how that technology works. Most of us put up with those frustrations where as Peter Sunde, formerly of The Pirate Bay, tends to act on them with far reaching consequences.

"According to Sunde's Twitter feed he has been suspicious of ICANN for a long time. The non-profit corporation is tasked with managing both the IPv4 and IPv6 Internet Protocol address spaces as well as handling the management of top-level domain name space including the operation of root nameservers."
