"There are some things you can't configure in Ubuntu
anymore, in order to keep the Unity shell's design and user
experience consistent.
"In effect, this means that users who know what they're doing
and want to make interface customizations have two choices: drop
Unity or drop Ubuntu. Protecting new users from their mistakes is
all well and good, but should it be at the expense of the advanced
users' experience?"
