Sony now leading Android Open Source Project for Xperia S

Sony has taken the reins of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for its Xperia S device and is actively working with Google to bring pure Android to at least one of its phones.

We previously reported the news in August that Google’s AOSP lead, Jean-Baptiste Queru, posted an announcement about the start of the project, which would attempt to bring Nexus-like support to Sony’s Xperia S with an unadulterated Android build.
