BW: Bull Announces CDSA Security Software for Linux On Open Source
Jul 31, 2000, 19 :39 UTC (0 Talkback[s]) (1916 reads)

"Bull SA announced today the upcoming release of an Open Source license version of CDSA (Common Data Security Architecture) for Linux. CDSA, adopted by The Open Group, provides a cross platform, interoperable, extensible security infrastructure allowing the development of security enabled applications in an Internet applications environment."

"Bull has been working closely with Intel to create an Open Source package of this industry standard security framework. "We are very excited to participate in this milestone event for the security industry," said Herve Mouren, president, infrastructure and systems, Bull. "Bull firmly believes in the importance of Linux and is prepared to add engineering resources to key Open Source projects where necessary."

"Bull was responsible for the world's first Linux implementation of CDSA in October 1999, launched as part of its TrustWay security offer. "The Open Source decision and the creation of a technical co-operation between Intel and ourselves was a logical next step based on the Linux market evolution," added Mouren."
