"Intel has posted an update to their open sourced
implementation of the Common Data Security Architecture 2, an Open
Group standard. The initial posting in May only ran on Windows.
This update includes a Linux port. CDSA 2 provides a abstract
unified API for performing cryptographic and security related
operations, including biometric operations. Imagine logging into
your box using a fingerprint scanner or signing your emal with a
smart card."
