"Results of research will be applicable to aerospace,
automotive, chemical, scientific markets."
"Computational Engineering International (CEI) has won a
three-year, $1.4-million contract to research the use of a Beowulf
computer cluster to visualize large-scale models for the Department
of Energy's Accelerated Strategic Computing Initiative (ASCI)."
"The new contract follows an earlier $1.8-million ASCI contract
for advanced visualization on SMP (shared memory parallel) systems.
Both projects center around CEI's EnSight Gold, a high-performance,
multi-platform visualization and data analysis tool already used in
the three primary ASCI labs: Los Alamos, Sandia and Lawrence
Livermore National Laboratories."
