The first beta of the new distro Ubuntu 10.04 is
here, and together with the gnome-shell 2.28.1 they
have managed to open 1681 (41^2) work-spaces with
a single desktop computer. Done by dany74q,Israelian
overclocker and a linux user, with a single 8 cores CPU running at
3.2GHz and 3GB of total DDR3 RAM.
