Wireshark remains the world's most popular network protocol analyzer and scanner software, used by millions of network administrators and hackers around the world, and Wireshark 2.2.6 is the sixth maintenance update to the stable series of the application, bringing more fixes for recently discovered security flaws. Among the security vulnerabilities that have been fixed in Wireshark 2.2.6, we can mention crashes in both the IMAP and PacketBB dissectors, as well as infinite loops with the WBMXL dissector, NetScaler file parser, RPCoRDMA dissector, BGP dissector, DOF dissector, SLSK dissector, SIGCOMP dissector, and WSP dissector.
