The Linux OS corralled more support this week, with Berkeley Software Design Inc. (BSDI) announcing it will add Linux database support to its BSD/OS operating platform, and Informix planning a suite of products for Linux.
"Linux may provide a real Unix standard," said Chris Willard, research director of high performance technologies at International Data Corp., in Mountain View Calif.
