Mar 29, 1999, 18:28 (0 Talkback[s])

"Ziff-Davis today announced that ZD Events has partnered with industry powerhouses to enhance this year's COMDEX/Spring and WINDOWS WORLD conference. Focused elements will explore three challenging decision areas for IT buyers: platforms, e-commerce and networking. The event will also contain dedicated programs for CIOs, resellers and developers. COMDEX/Spring and WINDOWS WORLD '99 takes place April 19-22, 1999, at McCormick Place in Chicago."

"Deciding which platforms to adopt is one of the most pivotal decisions developers now face. Realizing this, ZD Events has partnered with three major platform leaders to examine Java, Linux and Windows in detail. Produced in cooperation with Sun Microsystems, "Java University" is a two-day program on Sunday and Monday that delivers skill-oriented developer training designed by expert Java engineers."

"...the "Linux Global Summit," produced in cooperation with Linux International and sponsored by Linux Hardware Solutions and Caldera, will explore the business potential of the Linux OS and features a keynote presentation by Linus Torvalds, founder of the Linux OS."
