PC Week: Oracle8i Lite database to be ported to Linux

May 19, 1999, 07:28 (0 Talkback[s])

Thanks to Bill Longabaugh for this link.

"Oracle Corp. will port its Oracle8i Lite database to Linux and introduce an embeddable version later this year that supports up to 10 concurrent users."

"Oracle officials said the release next month of Oracle8i Lite, to run on Palm and Windows CE operating systems, would be followed later this year with a "mini-server" version... Support for Linux will complement server support for Windows NT and leading Unix flavors."

Complete story.
