"Computer Associates (CA) last week announced a three-pronged Linux strategy, launching enterprise versions of its Unicenter TNG enterprise management architecture, Ingres II database and MasterIT Web server manager for the open source operating system. CA will launch more Linux products later this year."

"Unicenter TNG for Linux allows all Linux servers and desktops on a network to be located, monitored and administered from the same console as the other operating systems supported by Unicenter TNG. These include OS/390, OpenVMS, Netware, Solaris, and Windows NT. A 90-day introductory programme for the Linux version will waive one year's licence fee for customers who sign up for a year's maintenance contract."
