"Linux is slowly but surely gaining popularity in the local [Malaysian] market scene, evident by more and more corporations and government departments crossing over to this operating system, says Meor A. Fauzi, operations officer, Magnifix Sdn Bhd, which distributes and provides support for Red Hat and the SuSE line of Linux products or "Linux distributions" in Linux terminology."
"Magnifix has created a web-based application that will enable daily corporate activities in areas such as administration, marketing and price retrieval. Called the Sales Automated System, it is currently used by organizations such as Telekom Malaysia, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific and Interconnect Communications."
