"The Apache software and source code can be downloaded free of charge from the website, http://www.apache.org/. It also comes standard with most Linux distributions; there's probably a copy of the package you need to install it on the CD or website you got your copy of Linux from. The files that need to be installed are /usr/sbin/httpd, as well as access.conf, httpd.conf, and srm.conf, all of which should probably be in /etc/httpd/conf. In addition, startup and shutdown scripts will probably be put into /etc/init.d for Debian and /etc/rc.d/init.d for Red Hat."
