"BPS Internet Access is the first of many alliances to raise funds for Linux community and good works projects."
"GeekCast.Com Networks announces the official opening of BPS Internet Access to be January 1st 2000. BPS Internet Access is a cooperative effort of GeekCast and Internet Service Providers accross the US to create a fundraiser for The Benevolent Penguin Society, a Linux community benevolence organization. In the words of Geekcast CEO Jeff Gerhardt "you have to get Internet service from somewhere, you might as well get that service from someone that is going to help the Linux Community achieve their goals."
"The Benchmark price of $17.00/mo for unlimited single channel analog or ISDN and $29.00/mo for unlimited dual channel analog or ISDN service is very competitive. $2.50 per month for single channel and $3.50 a month for dual channel servicee will be directly contributed to The Benevolent Penguin Society. The Benevolent Penguin Society, was created for the purpose of raising funding for good works for or on behalf of the greater Linux community. Two low income urban schools are already connnected to the internet because of BPS. For information on The Benevolent Penguin Society, check out the information at the GeekCast site."
