"Microsoft Corp. and Caldera Inc. today reached an out-of-court
settlement of their antitrust lawsuit."
"The suit, in which Caldera accused Microsoft of various
anti-competitive practices, was expected to go to trial next Monday
with opening statements...."
"The case focused on whether Microsoft unfairly exercised
its alleged monopoly power in the DOS and Windows markets to shut
out DR-DOS, an operating system once owned by Microsoft rival
Novell Inc. and now owned by Caldera."
