"I've been programming for quite a few years, but only a couple
in Linux specifically, so my first impressions of this book, with
its formidable size, and the words "Authoritative Technical
Documentation" stamped on the cover, was a good one. I was sure
that this book would cut to the straight to the chase as far as
programming in Linux was concerned, no holds barred if you like. I
certainly wasn't wrong."
"The "Linux Programming White Papers" from Coriolis are five out
of eight books hosted by the LDP (Linux Documentation Project), and
therefore are the produce of a collaborative writing effort. This
certainly shows in this book, as there are few noticeable gaps in
the factual content."
