Nov 20, 2000, 17:49 (0 Talkback[s])
"XINIT Systems, a leading UK Linux system vendor and provider of
professional services today announced a realignment of its product
line as its core product offerings shift to servicing the internet
server market. The WebLoad rack mount server series is
positioned at fullfilling the needs of the ISP/ASP community that
demand maximum reliability, scalability and density for internet
server applications. WebLoad servers feature high availability and
redundancy components such as hot-pluggable hard drives and power
supplies - ensuring increased uptime in mission critical
situations. The servers range from the single processor
WebLoad 1100 to the high-end, quad-processor, WebLoad 1400 and
WebLoad 1740 systems."
"It's great to be able to offer our customers such a wide array
of systems to choose from as they build and expand upon their
internet infrastructure. From low level web and e-mail serving to
the high end of the spectrum in the database arena - we can supply
systems that better match our customers needs and ensure they
implement a reliable solution within budgetary constraints," said
Rafiu Fakunle, XINIT Systems' CTO."
"We are especially proud to augment our product line with a
rather remarkable server - namely the WebLoad 1150. This is truly
an amazing box if you consider that it is only 1.75" high, yet you
can fit in two processors, 4GB of RAM and over 70GB of SCSI
storage. That sort of power in just one rack unit, places the 1150
in perfect position for provider networks that are growing at a
phenomal rate with the internet," added Mr. Fakunle."
