AllLinuxDevices: Embedded Linux Software Company Announces Launch

"TUXIA, a new embedded Linux software company, has launched with a 20 Million Euro investment and a licensing agreement with Infomatec, which plans to use Tuxia's JNT embedded Linux for interactive tv."

"In addition to its core development team in Germany, TUXIA has operations in Asia, Australia, Japan, and USA. The TUXIA team is made up of over 80 people worldwide, 50 of which are Linux software specialists."

"TUXIA has signed a licensing agreement with Infomatec IIS AG for its JNT embedded Linux technology. In addition to this licensing agreement, TUXIA has acquired the development resources and subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and New York. In the future, Infomatec will focus on the interactive TV market. The JNT technology is used in Internet Appliances such as Settop Boxes, WebPADs and Thin Clients."
