"Recently, the Embedded Linux Consortium (ELC) announced their intention to establish a "single unified specification for an embedded Linux platform" to be known as the "ELC Platform Specification."

"I was the lone dissenting voice at the ELC meeting at ESC where the board first brought forth the idea of the ELC developing and promoting a standard for embedded Linux. I therefore want to clarify my concerns."
