LinuxPR: Dynasoft releases KDE Chinese Environment

Sep 27, 2001, 06:51 (2 Talkback[s])
"Yangchunbaixue KDE Chinese Environment or YKCE is a hybridly licensed software that turns Red Hat Linux 7.1 into a sophisticated Chinese KDE desktop environment.

All YKCE packages, except for the core Yangchunbaixue Chinese Input System, are open sourced.

"China is embracing Linux based systems in a fast pace. But lack of good Chinese environment has hindered further spreading", said Chris Ding, CEO of Dynasoft. "So far, Linux usage is mostly limited to the server market. We believe the release of YKCE will foster the desktop market, where a good Chinese environment is a must."
