Linux Journal: Post-install configuration of Debian GNU/Linux on a Dell Latitude C800

In the followup to my first article (which discussed installing Debian GNU/Linux on a Dell Latitude C800), I now discuss post-install configuration of the laptop including:

• setup, configuration, and compilation of a 2.4.x kernel using Debian's make-kpkg scripts
• setting up sound
• setting up a VESA FrameBuffer console
• converting Ext2 partitions to Ext3
