Debian.org: Garbee Elected Debian Project Leader

The voting ended last night for the election of the 2002 Debian leader. In a three-way race between Bdale Garbee, Raphel Hertzog, and Branden Robinson, the final vote count left Garbee the new leader of the Debian Project.

Garbee, an Engineer/Scientist in the Linux Systems Operation group for Hewlett-Packard, cited his ability to provide "clear and effective leadership" in his campaign platform.
